Before Your Wax:
Take a warm shower to soften hair and open pores — helps reduce breakage
Gently exfoliate 24–48 hours before your appointment
Apply Bushbalm oil the day before to hydrate and prep the skin
Stop using chemical exfoliants (like Roller Rescue, Radiant Toner Pads) at least 48 hours before waxing
Stop applying retinol or vitamin A creams to the wax area 5–7 days before your appointment
Do not wax if you’re currently on oral retinoids (Accutane)
You must wait 6–12 months after stopping Accutane before waxing
Avoid lotions, oils, or deodorant on the day of your wax
Wear loose, comfy clothing and breathable cotton underwear
Stay hydrated — nourished skin = better results
After Your Wax:
Avoid sun, hot showers, baths, saunas, pools, hot tubs & intense activity for 24–48 hours
Resume exfoliating 24–48 hours after waxing, 2–3x per week
Use Bushbalm or Koochi oil daily to hydrate, soothe, and prevent ingrown hairs
Do not apply retinol or vitamin A creams to the waxed area for at least 5–7 days
Avoid using chemical exfoliants (like Roller Rescue or toner pads) for 48–72 hours post-wax
Avoid touching, picking, or scratching to let your skin heal properly
